86 aircraft have registrated for the fly-in.

Good news! We were waiting for a "blanket exemption" for aircraft flying on a LAA permit to fly. The DGAC in fact made a more global decision as stated here after:

"Prior to the modification of the Ministerial Decree dated May 22nd, 2001, DGAC-France is pleased to authorise the following LAA aircraft to operate in France under the following conditions:

  • factory built aircraft having received a Type certificate or previous equivalent Type design acceptance;
  • no active Type certificate holder;
  • valid CAA-UK permit to fly and LAA certificate of validity;
  • limitations defined in the Ministerial Decree dated May 22nd, 2001;
  • limitation to leisure flights.

Those conditions exclude all the antics and the eastern countries products."

We have now the confirmation that St Omer will be "customs airfield" during the week-end, more precisely from Friday 10th until Sunday 12th. Note that this apply only to aircraft duly registrated for the fly-in. The aeroclub is asked to send the list of particpants to the competent services.

Caution: Please pay attention to the prison located close to the threshold runway 27. Its overflying is strictly forbidden! (cf. VAC)

See you soon at St Omer!
