tips for the preparation of your navigation... |

Meteo
& notams... |
Olivia
is a new website developed by the DGAC (Direction Générale
de l'Aviation Civile). It provides an on-line support for meteorological
information, notams and flight plan.
Meteorological information is provided to Olivia
by Meteo France. So, you need the same personnal code than for Meteo France
services such as aeroweb
and aerofax.
Such a code can be obtained after sending a copy of your licence to Meteo
France... [more

Many official documents are now available, on-line and free of charge,
on the SIA's website (Service de l'Information Aéronautique). You
can find the VAC
charts, but also many other items dealing with regulations (e.g. about
ZIT).

The
best website... |
NAV2000
is considered as the best website in France for the preparation of navigations,
even if it is not "offical"... It provides the same information
than the two here above websites (the single restriction is that FPL
can be edited but can not be sent). Furthermore, it provides pieces
of the famous "VFR France" chart developed by Jean Bossy.
Given as an example : North
of France...
Note : French speaking only...

Current
restrictions in North of France for VFR flights... |
Since a few months, services usually provided to VFR flights in North
of France are reduced. First, FIS is currently not provided inside Lille
1 and Lille 2 areas ; the unique frequency for both areas (134.825) is
out of service. Moreover, during the week-end, the BRIA (Bureau Régional
de l'Information à Aéronautique) is sometimes closed...
A specialized phone number is then useful to know : 0810 IFR VFR (0810
437 837), which runs H24 and allows to close the flight plans.
