2004 : third edition of the fly-in... |
The Saint-Omer flying club organizes the third edition of his Jodel Lovers Fly-In on September 4th & 5th 2004. As stated in the name, this fly-in is not "exclusive" and it is dedicated to all Jodel lovers. All kind of planes are welcome, even if our objective is to gather a majority of Jodels... Foreign visitors are most welcome. During the first editions in 2002 and 2003, respectively 26 and 52 crews took part to the fly-in. Each time, more than a half came from abroad : UK, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland. Participating pilots are invited for a meal on Sunday the 5th September, at lunchtime. Prior booking is mandatory. The cost for the lunch is 12 € including drinks, payable on the day. For pilots coming from remote locations, a welcome comity will be provided from Saturday afternoon. Accommodation and meals rest at your own charge. We can arrange transport from the airfield to Saint-Omer and also to the War and rockets history museum located around 5 kilometres from the airfield. To help with the organisation, would pilots who intend to participate kindly inform us before August 29th (on-line registration form available at the bottom this page). Note : The fly-in is not an "Airshow". Public are not admitted and the airfield remains open to traffic during the two days. |
