Saint-Omer airfield (LFQN)

  • For aircraft coming from UK (in fact all non-Shengen countries), the airfield does not provide customs facilities. A stop at a customs airfield (e.g. Calais or Le Touquet) is so mandatory.
  • 100LL is available on the airfield. If needed, we can also take you to the local station for Mogas (JerryCans can be lend). Don't forget to bring your own oil!
  • Radio communications are not mandatory at St Omer. But if you have an equipment on board, do not hesitate to use it! There is no specific frequency and messages have to be passed on the common 123.5 frequency. This frequency is shared by all the small airfields in France, so please pay attention and start all messages by "St Omer".
  • All patterns are left hand. Two runways are available: a concrete 09–27 and a 03–21 grass runway.
Please pay attention to the penitentiary located inside the 09/27 pattern. Overflying is strictly forbidden!
