107 aircraft have registrated for the fly-in. Registration is now closed and, despite our goodwill, we really can not accept further participants... We have the confirmation that St Omer will be "customs airfield" during the week-end. Note that this apply only to aircraft duly registrated for the fly-in. For the newcomers, participants are welcome at the entry of the hangar, under a white tent. There you will receive badges and will be invited to pay for meals (payment in cash, 15€ per person per meal). Note that a breakfast can be provided Sunday morning for people who are camping on the airfield. Inside the hangar, the club office will provide facilities for weather forecast and flight plans. There are several ways to close your FPL. Lille Information (120.275 / 126.475) can close your FPL once the airfield in sight (you don't need a transponder on board as long as your are not in D class space). FPL can also be closed phoning to the BRIA of Lille: Aeronautical Information Regional Office, 03 20 16 19 65/66. Lastly, you can ask to the office inside the hangar to close the FPL for you. Keep in mind that the airfield uses the common frequency 123.50 shared with other airfields. That is to say that all messages should begin by "St Omer". On the other hand, there is no manned tower and messages are passed "in the air", without any response. Radio is not mandatory. But if you have one on board, we recommend to use it, even in english if not in french langage. At last, please watch out to the prison situated near the threshold of runway 27 as its overflying is strictly forbidden See you soon at St Omer ! |
